Abstract
The Center for Counseling, Health & Wellness (CCHW) supports the holistic development of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg (USFSP) community by providing a comprehensive array of professional services. Our goal is to strengthen the intellectual, social and emotional functioning of our community, with an emphasis on collaboration, prevention, and wellness. The CCHW is also committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment, which includes providing culturally appropriate services, culturally relevant training, increased accessibility, and quality service delivery. This is accomplished by providing the following services: assessment and referrals; preventive and educational programming; psychological and psychiatric treatment; substance abuse prevention services; pre-doctoral practicum counselor training; consultation services for campus departments and community stakeholders; and professional contributions and service to the public and private sectors of the community.
