Abstract

In 1993, the Provost's Office at USF Tampa began a review of outcomes assessments on all campuses. This document, officially compiled on 12 January 1994, represented the outcomes assessment measures employed by various academic, administrative, and student services units on campus. Items included in this document appeared in a bound notebook on deposit in the Poynter Library.

Comments

The assessment includes thirteen distinct sections. The first file offers background information provided by the Office of the Provost, USF Tampa. Subsequent sections focus on Outcomes Assessment (with an emphasis on self-study elements unique to the regional campuses), and the USFSP Campus Mission Statement and Mission Goals. Sections then outline specific assessments for the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, and Education, as well as the Poynter Library, Student Affairs, Administrative Affairs, Project Thrust, Campus Advancement, and Campus Computing Services. The final section includes the assessment instrument created as part of this process. Note that at this time, assessment focused both on perceptions of services offered by the various units and how the directors/managers individually performed in their administrative tasks.
