Abstract

Program offered as part of the Pinellas County Historical Society's Speaking of History series in the Pinellas Room at Heritage Village. The lecture took place on 9 October 2016. Catherine Cardwell, Dean of the Poynter Library, offered opening comments about the library and the changing nature of libraries; Schnur discussed the history of the newspaper and how it became an important outlet in St. Petersburg.
